Potassium Permanganate will remove chemical and biochemical oxygen demand by oxidizing oxygen consuming material. Apply Potassium at a rate of 3 ppm. Should results not appear within approximately 15 minutes, apply more potassium in 1 ppm increments not exceeding 10 ppm. Potassium Permanganate can also be used for detoxification of Rotenone at the same rate as the Rotenone was applied, plus enough additions to meet the osidatice demand of the water. Potassium Permanganate is a strong oxidant that may cause a fire or explode when it comes into contact with combustible materials. Comes in a 55 lb container.
